== Top floor of Oak Tower == {| | [[File:oak_tower.jpg|thumb|x300px|alt=oak_tower|Oak Tower from the East, 2012]] | [[File:oak_tower_zoom.jpg|thumb|x300px|alt=oak_tower_zoom|Zoom in of radio deployed at Joe's Data Center, July 2012]] |} Address: 324 E 11th St # 100, Kansas City, MO ([https://maps.google.com/maps?q=oak+tower&hl=en&ll=39.101342,-94.578743&spn=0.001166,0.001918&sll=39.099726,-94.578567&sspn=0.641571,0.874786&t=h&hq=oak+tower&z=19 google maps]) Approx. Distance to Oak Tower: 0 km This is the site where the access point antenna was installed, pointing east from the south-most window. Antenna was mounted at shoulder height on a tripod about half a meter back from the window. The window itself is sunk in a half meter alcove from the stone surface of the building. Window is fairly large, about a meter and a half wide. Radio had absolutely no direct line of sight to the south, though there might have been bounce around in the room and out the other windws. All the windows are glass with chicken wire with a hole diameter of a couple centimeters (unmeasured, looks standard). We did connectivity tests indoors with the "far" radio lying on the ground at the base of the tower. Very likely there were significant reflections and scatter in this environment. When going through "Distribution and Access", configuration was: laptop [ethernet to] node1 nanostation [wifi ad-hoc to] tower1 nanostation [ethernet to] FNF_T01_3G01 radio [3.65GHz bridge to] FNF_L01_3G01 radio [ethernet via USB to] router When going through "Distribution only", configuration was: laptop [ethernet to] FNF_T01_3G01 radio [3.65GHz bridge to] FNF_L01_3G01 radio [ethernet via USB to] router Access point (data center side) radio reported: Device Name: FNF_L01_3G01 Network Mode: Bridge Wireless Mode: Access Point WDS SSID: FNF_Distribution Security: WPA2-AES Version: v5.3 Uptime: 03:25:27 Date: 2011-01-14 18:07:24 Channel/Frequency: 151 / 3661 MHz Channel Width: 20 MHz ACK/Distance: 28 / 0.1 miles (0.2 km) TX/RX Chains: 2X2 WLAN MAC: 00:27:22:80:9D:D7 LAN MAC: 00:27:22:81:9D:D7 LAN1/LAN2: 100Mbps-Full / Unplugged Client radio (tower side) radio reported: Device Name: FNF_T01_3G01 Network Mode: Bridge Wireless Mode: Station WDS SSID: FNF_Distribution Security: WPA2 Version: v5.3 Uptime: 00:42:43 Date: 2011-01-14 15:24:40 Channel/Frequency: 151 / 3661 MHz Channel Width: 20 MHz ACK/Distance: 28 / 0.1 miles (0.2 km) TX/RX Chains: 2X2 WLAN MAC: 00:27:22:80:9E:D1 LAN MAC: 00:27:22:81:9E:D1 LAN1/LAN2: 100Mbps-Full / Unplugged Client radio (tower side) radio reported connection to access point as: Device Name: FNF_L01_3G01 Connection Time: 00:40:46 Signal Strength: -10 dBm Noise Floor: -95 dBm ACK/Distance: 28 / 0.1 miles (0.2 km) CCQ: 100% Last IP: 10.185.10.5 TX/RX Rate: 78.0 Mbps / 130.0 Mbps TX/RX Packets: 49746 / 61487 TX/RX Packet Rate, pps: 0 / 0 Bytes Transmitted: 30476179 (29.06 MBytes) Bytes Received: 65112906 (62.10 MBytes) testmy.net bandwidth through Distribution and Access: :::..
