We are waiting to hear back from the editors of the S&B, but it is our hope that freenet will get an op-ed column space this semester. Isaac and I collaborated on the first one, follow the link. --[[User:Jacobwhite|Jacobwhite]] 10:21, 1 February 2011 (CST) [[Egypt, Digital Networks, and the Free Network Movement]] In addition to this column, if all works out we will also be writing more columns as the semester progresses. Some ideas we came up with were: *Why Grinnell should put all of its course materials online for free. *Report from the Students for Free Culture Conference (New York 2/20). *Review of five texts every free network advocate should read. *Below the radar: how to secure your communications online. *Why youβre paying too much for the internet and what you can do to stop it. I think it would be real cool if all of the articles were written collaboratively by people on this wiki, and if they don't get done I would finish them up. Anyone who is interested in getting a crack at any of these topics should make a page for it.
